What A Rip Off

Gyms are funny places…

Especially the one I used to PT in (back when
I thought this was what I had to do)…

This particular place would offer a couple of
PT sessions to its members (which they paid
for)…

The gym would then get them to book a session
with one of the PTs…

The PT would deliver the sessions (and not
get paid for it cos we’re self employed)…

And the gym would pocket the money (nice
little earner for em right there)…

Oh and they’d charge us a fortune for use for
use of the space…

^^^ Which is why they’ve got all of that
fancy, shiny, expensive equipment that you
have no idea how to use…

Anyhoo…

During one of these sessions with a young
slip of a lad of 25…

I asked him what his goals were…

He just wanted to lift heavy sh.it
basically…

So we tried a few things with light weights
to get him started…

And it turned out he had the mobility of my
mum (who’s in her 70s)…

So a session of lifting heavy turned into a
stretching session…

^^^ cos if he lifted heavy he was definitely
gonna hurt himself (and soon)…

Lesson learned?…

I have no idea because that was the last I
saw of him…

He probably went to someone else who would
let him lift heavy…

But I have standards…

I’m not gonna watch you do something that’ll
set you back…

I only deal in progress and results…

^^^ Which is what you can expect every
session by the way…

There are plenty of trainers out there who’ll
just put you through a glorified circuit
session to get you sweaty…

Without actually teaching you anything…

Which brings me nicely to another point…

Apparently it’s my job to put myself out of
business…

By getting you to the point where you don’t
need me…

Which would mean I’ve taught you everything I
know…

But any trainer who says that clearly doesn’t
know enough…

And probably isn’t willing to invest in
learning more…

Cos we can always know more right (as long as
we’ve already mastered what we’ve already
learned)…

And that’s exactly what you get when you sign
up…

You join a bunch of guys who are ALWAYS
learning…

Who want to master the basics so they can
keep progressing…

And you will see this in the fellas who’ve
been coming here for a year or more…

They’ve all got a load stronger than they
thought possible (and continue to do so)…

So it’s up to you my friend…

You can find someone who’ll get you sweaty to
the point where you puke (and can then boast
about it all over Farcebook)…

You can tell everyone how you ‘smashed it’
and how you ‘couldn’t walk properly for
days’…

—> I don’t know about you but I quite like
being able to walk…

– OR –

You can find a group of fellas who all want
to progress…

Who all want to grow their potential (rather
than their muscles)…

And become nails…

You’ve already done this by the way…

The only thing you haven’t done is hit me up
