I was smashing the crap out of some chicken
breast the other day…

It flattens em out ready to roll up some
rather scrumptious home-made pesto into
them…

Anyhoo…

While I was bangin’ away I thought about when
I was a younger chap…

All those years ago…

You’re probably the same as I was…

Tight

^^^ (and I don’t mean thrifty)…

I’m talking tight muscles…

See when you beat your meat it makes it more
tender…

Which means it’s nicer when it’s cooked…

Kinda like your muscles…

If they feel like a piece of beef jerky then
chances are you’ll damage em at some point…

Seriously dude… try stretching a bit of
jerky and see what happens…

Now imagine your muscles as a nice piece of
juicy steak that’s all tender…

When you cut through it it’s as easy as
cutting through butter with a hot knife…

^^^ That’s how muscles should be dude…

This way they can move freely…

And that’s when we can strengthen em…

Trying to gain strength when we can’t move
properly is just an accident waiting to
happen…

And will more than likely lead to:-

1) Frustration – cos you get to a certain
point and things start to hurt so you have to
slow down…

Or

2) Injury – this is what comes straight after
#1 by the way (assuming you keep on training
through the pain)…

And when injury happens you have to rest…

Meaning you’re back to where you were when
you started…

And can only hope to be as strong as you were
when you got injured…

^^^ can you see how this is counterproductive
dude?…

That’s why we get you moving first…

So you don’t end up like jerky…

^^^ which may taste ok but it’s not nice to
look at…

And if you can’t touch your toes you probably
got some of that in there somewhere…

Go on… give it a go…

Then when you can straighten back up again
