The Hunt… (that’s not rhyming slang by the way)…

personal trainer bath
BBC Wildlife documentaries…
Awesome…
I grew up listening to David Attenborough…
Remember Wildlife on One?….
And every time there’s a new doc on I have to
watch it…
And The Hunt is no different…
The one about the Blue Whale was amazing…
(if you haven’t seen it then watch it on
iplayer)
But it got me to thinking about getting
results…
You see I always thought the camera folk on
these programs must have great lives…
Like edge-of-the-seat type stuff…
Constantly surrounded by WILD animals…
Loads of activity…
But the truth…
They spend most of their days…
Sitting around on their arses waiting for
something to happen… (sound familiar)?
Like the camera folk who were filming the
crocodile…
This thing doesn’t move for a whole year…
It just sits there… looking mean (like most
guys in the gym)…
Then once a year the wilderbeast come for a
drink…
And it’s time to pounce…
But it takes the croc a while to get a decent
meal… cos it’s out of practice…
He’s been lying there… conserving energy
the whole year…
So he’s bound to be a bit rusty…
Now there’s a few lessons here for you…
1. Don’t leave it til New Year… You been
sitting around all year and then decide to
pounce… get a good feed… then leave it
again for another year and expect the result
to be different… (well it won’t be)
2. If you do sit around for that long you’ll
be right back to square one… You’ll need to
start all over again… from scratch… which
is a massive ball ache (trust me… I’ve done
it many a time)
3. Conserving energy is good… rest is
essential for recovery and adaptation
(change)… rest however does not mean
sitting around on your arse… it means
walking, gardening, sex (oh yes)…
4. Consistency is key… practice often…
practice well… don’t burn yourself out…
rest and recover… and you’ll be ready when
the strength and fitness you’ve developed is
needed…
You’ll need it when life throws a curve ball
at you… and it definitely helps (again…
trust me… life’s dealing me a few doozies
at the moment)…
The strength you build will give you the
energy to deal with ANYTHING…
Sounds like a load of clap trap I know… but
it does work…
Strength (real strength) gives you the
mental, as well as physical capacity to stay
grounded…
When things around you seem too big to
handle…
Like your current situation…
–> Wanting to lose weight, feel fitter, feel
stronger…
It gets to you… keeps you awake… stresses
you out at work…
You sedate to forget… which just makes it
worse…
So stop sabotaging yourself and hit the link
below…

p.s.  Most wild animals are the same by the
way…
Have you seen how little lions do?… Sod
All…
And don’t get me started on sloaths <– Meh
