How To Stop Having THOSE Days (you know the ones)

Bad Day

Was in Newcastle last weekend…

Still amazes me how little people wear up
there (even though I grew up there)…

^^^ I was a hippy though and not one of yer
trendy types…

Which is why I don’t follow the herd (cos
they all look the same)…

Better to be a bit different I think…

Anyhoo…

Flight was slightly delayed on the way
there…

Flight was delayed on the way back…

Which meant we couldn’t check a bag in (cos
we got there late)…

Apparently check-in closes at the same time
even if you already know the flight’s delayed
(it’s in the small print)…

^^^ Little warning there for you…

My wife had to chuck out a few bits of
expensive liquidy type stuff (cos they were
over 100ml)…

We got back to Bristol pretty late…

The road was closed on the way back to Bath
so we had to take a detour…

Got to bed around 2am (and needed to be up at
6am)…

^^^ Which meant we were both knackered and
cranky the next morning (and that carried on
for most of the day)…

This is why I keep bangin’ on about looking
after yourself first…

Cos it makes a huuuuuge difference to each
and every day…

What if you could start your day from a
position of power rather than scarcity?…

If you’re already knackered when you get out
of bed imagine how that’s gonna effect you
and everyone you come into contact with that
day…

– BUT –

If you decide to do something FOR YOURSELF
first thing then you face the day ahead with
a totally different perspective…

It can be something as simple as just having
10 mins to yourself to collect your thoughts
and plan what you need to do today…

Make a list of the stuff that you MUST do
that day…

Forget the other stuff you think you need to
do and just do the essentials…

If you get em all done before lunch then you
have the rest of the day to do any other
stuff that’s been keeping you awake…

Or you can just chill (there’s nowt wrong
with that if you’ve already been more
productive in the first 4 hours than you were
in the last four weeks)…

It’s really that simple dude…

And it gives you more time to spend on you…

Like getting yourself back in shape in time
for the summer (which is already meant to
have started by the way)…
