I Put On Half A Stone In Half A Day

Did you hit a beer garden yesterday?…

I know I did…

Like most of the British population when the
sun’s out…

We drink…

But not before we do a 16 mile walk…

Whaaaaat…

Yep me and my good lady went for a nice
looooong walk to earn a few beers…

Was a bit foolish I must admit…

23 degree heat has a habit of making you feel
tired…

And you should see my farmer’s tan…

^^^ It was either that or walk with my top
off…

Aaaanyhooo…

I decided to weigh myself when I got home…

Just to see how much a 16 mile walk burns…

When I looked at the number I realised I was
HALF A STONE HEAVIER than normal…

But I didn’t panic…

And I even ate some chocolate cos I wasn’t
worried about it…

Then when I weighted myself again this
morning I had magically lost 5lb…

^^^ Pretty good going that for 10 hours of
zero exercise innit dude…

Now I don’t weight myself all of the time
(normally about once a week)…

This was just a little experiment…

Cos the scales can lie to us…

Did I really put on half a stone in half a
day?…

Or was it the fact that it was ludicrously
warm and I was probably a bit swollen from
walking (and retaining water)…

See my man you can keep looking at the number
on the scales but it doesn’t give you the
full story…

Especially if you lie to yourself about how
much you eat…

Or WHAT you eat…

^^^ The amount of fellas I meet who SAY they
eat healthily…

But discount the junk they chuck in
themselves cos that’s just snacks…

— Since when was a cheeseburger a snack?…

Anyhoo…

Don’t listen to your scales…

Listen to your body cos it’s the only thing
that’ll tell you the truth…

It’ll let you know if what you’re doing is
working or not…

And if it isn’t working then guess what…

— You need to change what you’re doing…

Simple as that dude…
