What Matters To You Right Now?

Went to see Ezra Furman on Monday night…

He’s a singer who seems pretty unsure of
where he fits in life…

But he doesn’t really seem to care…

He just is who he is…

If you like it…

Fine…

If you don’t…

Well that’s fine too…

He’ll still keep going from the pure love of
it…

During a break between songs one of crowd
shouted out a question…

He asked about one of the previous gigs and
if Ezra enjoyed it…

His answer was perfect (in my opinion)…

‘ Don’t ask me about past or future
performances… all that matters is this stage
right here, right now ‘

–> PERFECT…

See you can set goals for the future (and
there’s nothing wrong with that…

But if you take your eye from where you are
right now you start to get overwhelmed
(because you don’t own your current
reality)…

So you want to lose weight and get fitter &
stronger so you can feel happier in yourself
and therefore be more available and present
with those around you…

Rather than feeling stressed out cos you’ve
failed to start or finish something…

Which is exactly what happened the last time
you tried (which is you comparing yourself to
your past efforts)…

^^^ Which was YOU in the past (not right
now)…

If you focus on who you are now…

And learn to grow that just a little bit
every day…

Imagine what you could achieve in a few
months…

–> Imagine what that would FEEL like…

Do you reckon that would make you want to
carry on (especially when you see how others
react to this calmer more focused version of
you)…

All it takes is a little initial push…

Some commitment and consistency…

A little bit of improvement every day…

And you become the man who has more time to
spend with his kids cos you’ve taken a step
back to realise what’s important in life…

Rather than focusing on the struggle (which
helps no-one)…

The people I know whose parents worked their
knackers off to provide for them (while never
being there)…

They resent that now…

They would have been happy with less money
and more time with their folks…

^^^ Pretty obvious when you put it that
simply right…

So before you decide to take up running again
and spending hours that you don’t have
pounding the streets…

Or even worse paying a gym so you can run
inside <– bonkers

Have a think about how much time you actually
WANT to spend getting fitter (probably not as
much as you think you NEED to right)…

So if I told you that it only takes as little
as 20 mins per day…

5 Days a week…

And you can start on 5 September…

So in 6 weeks time you’ll have lost a stone
and have the motivation to carry on…

Not to mention the support and accountability
of the other guys on the program…

Would you want in?…

Would you want to be one of the 15 guys who
can start to make that change TODAY…

If the answer is YES to any of this…

Then it’s time to step up dude…

Quite funny and there was ONE big lesson that
stood out…
