And you got to hand it to Geoff Lynne…

This guy grew up listening to Roy Orbison…

And later in life ended up playing in a band
with him…

Remember them dude?…

Anyhoo…

Geoff re-released some of the ELO back
catalogue a few years back…

He said he’d become a much better producer
over the years and could make em sound
better…

Cos he was a complete novice the first time
around…

So what he’s really saying is…

He went back to basics to produce an even
better sound…

See this is what getting better at something
is all about…

—> You NAIL the basics…

And you become better at the more advanced
stuff…

The more you want to progress the more you
keep going back to the basics…

It’s what all of our heros do…

Just think about someone whom you admire…

Someone with a huge talent…

Then think about what they’ve done to get
there…

Mine’s Marcus Miller…

He’s a shithot bass player who spent his
formative years playing for anyone and
everyone…

He was the bass player for Miles Davis…

He put in the work consistently…

And now he’s one of the best players in the
world (if not theeeee best)…

I want you to think about this next time you
go down the gym my man…

Or the next time you’re bouncing around a
fitness studio doing as many exercises as you
can in an hour…

Just think about how expert you feel…

Or are you just going through the motions…

Like learning the intro to one song on the
guitar (so you can bore everyone with it at
parties)…

^^^ When they’ve already heard you do it a
million times…

What would happen if you learnt to play
scales…

If you learnt chord progressions until you
had em nailed…

Then you could take requests and become the
cool dude who can play anything just by
listening to it once…

^^^ Doesn’t happen over night dude…

Which is why we start you from where you’re
at right now …

Whatever your fitness level…

You could be the most unfit person you
know…

Doesn’t matter my man…

We’ll change that for you (you’d be surprised
how many people give up before they’ve
started because of this)…
