See I used to be exactly like you

I worked 10 hour days

5 days a week

I’d leave the house before 7am

Arrive home after 7pm

I sat at a desk ALL day

I couldn’t touch my toes

I got knackered climbing stairs

I had jublies

Jowls

Fatty deposits just above the belt line

The elastic on my boxers would fold over
under the weight

I was sweaty

I drank every weekend

Heavily

I made every excuse as to why I was happy
like this

Until I wasn’t

So I signed up for a half marathon

Hated every minute of my training

Lost a load of weight

Then put it all back on gain after the event

This went on for years

Then I finally owned up to the fact that I
was a mess

Out of shape

Flabby

And when I did own up to it things changed…

I changed my diet slightly

Learned how to move properly…

Got my mobility back

And became fitter at 40 than I’ve EVER been
in my whole life

Which is a great feeling I can tell you..
