Second week back at work…

Bit of a drag already right…

If you’re anything like me you probably can’t
wait for clock change when you’ll get to see
daylight again…

But let’s just think about that for a
moment…

If you look forwards three months…

Where do you want to be?…

No doubt you’ll want to lose a few pounds (or
even a couple of stone)…

You probably want to feel fitter so you can
get out and about when the weather gets
better…

You might even be training for the half
marathon…

Whatever it is…

What are you doing about it right now…

Cos when it gets to the end of March and
you’ve done nowt you’ll look back and wish
you’d have started…

Happens to me all the time dude…

I have a little set-back and think I’ve
undone everything I’ve worked so hard for
(when the easiest thing to do would be to
give up)…

But what am I comparing my setback to?…

If you compare yourself to who you were last
week or who you think you should be in a
years time your gonna be fighting a losing
battle my friend…

I feel weaker now than I did a month ago…

It’s pretty hard to deal with considering I
value my strength cos it’s what gives me the
motivation to keep moving…

But that’s cool cos I’m waaay stronger than I
was a year ago…

So what feels like a setback is actually just
a little blip along the way…

If you do something that makes you progress a
little bit every single day…

Even just the small things (like going for a
walk or getting out of your chair every
hour)…

These will all add up over the next 3
months…

Then you can look back to now and see how
much you’ve grown…

All because you did something…

Now that sounds easy but then life and shit
gets in the way right…

So you miss a day here and there…

Which is when you decide it’s all too much
and give up…

Then you get to March and… well you know
the rest…

I Get It…

It’s a struggle to put in the hours at
work…

To ferry the kids to footy, rugby, dance or
whatever…

You gotta do a bunch of jobs around the house
you’ve been putting off since last January…

So looking after yourself takes a back
seat…

Which is why you get pissed off with
everyone…

^^^ Cos it’s their fault you’re so tired
right?…

Or is it entirely your fault cos you let this
happen?…

You took your eye off the ball and another 3
months has rushed by with nothing getting
done…

So what do you do about it dude?…

How do you make time for you?…
