I thought you might find this interesting…
https://blog.bulletproof.com/what-is-cholesterol/
There’s a LOT of misinformation out there
Especially about how to keep ‘healthy’
Now I’m not saying it’s all wrong and you shouldn’t listen to
your doctor
However…
After my doctor talked to me about statins and how I should
consider using them in the future
(EVEN THOUGH my cholesterol is fine now at 41 years old)
^^^ But the fact I’m in my 40s apparently makes me ‘more at risk’
Even though my chance of heart disease is 1.3% (anything less
than 10% is good by the way)
So how are you meant to know if you’re healthy?
Well…
1) Get checked by your doctor (If you;re in your 40s you should
have recently had one) If you didn’t bother (go and do it)
2) Do some exercise (there’s more chance of being healthy if you
do than if you don’t)
3) Eat a well balanced diet (plenty of vegetables, nuts,
berries, meat, fish)… basically stuff that isn;t out of a
packet
^^^ That’s not to say you can’t have fun though… That would
just be boring right
Oh and there’s a number 4…
4) Take responsibility for your health and do something about it
NOW
As in TODAY
^^^ The longer you leave it the worse it will get (I know this
from experience by the way)
And my Dad certainly realised this (when it was too late)
He dies at 65… I don’t want that to happen to you
So PLEASE do something
Stay STRONG
Peter
